We have a very active and growing Dharma School program. The TSDBT Dharma School begins each school year session on the first Sunday following Labor Day each September. Typically, each session concludes on the first Sunday in June as we break for the summer season.
Dharma School classes are conducted for each grade level from pre-schoolers through 12th grade. Classes are taught by volunteer Temple adults who follow guidelines offered by BCA.
Each Dharma class is actively involved in an annual Dana Project. Specifically, it has become tradition for each class to think of a project which requires giving of time, effort, money and/or gifts. Usually, the teacher guides their respective students to a timely issue in the community. Sometimes, because it is important to practice giving and receiving to those close at hand, Dana Projects consist of raising money for kitchen equipment, onaijin supplies, office improvements, etc.
